The decline of civilisation in the wilderness.
Delicious Shadow lives peacefully in the Colorado desert. He spends his days observing the movement of colours on the rocks from sunrise to sunset.
At night, he watches the stars. Such was his life from the moment he was born until he is suddenly and cruelly struck by love. Cruelly because, given that Delicious Shadow is a cactus with its feet buried in the arid rocks, how can it get close to the unfurled Cotton Candy? Cruelly because, given that Curious Shadow is a cactus, by nature it is limited to the physical manifestation of its affection.
And if all that wasn’t enough, how can he thwart the sinister plans of Botifarra, the sheriff, who is engaged to be married to the fluttering Cotton Candy? Is a happy ending possible for such a wretched love?
