Mákina de Cena [Portugal]
Journey to the Centre of the Earth
MAY 25TH, 04:00 PM
Centro Juvenil
Age Rating: M/06
Duration: 60 min
Otto Lidenbrock, an eccentric and authoritarian professor of mineralogy, discovers an ancient manuscript written in runic characters. Axel, his devoted nephew, manages to decipher the message and finds himself drawn into the greatest adventure of his life.
Little do they know that this discovery will take them to Iceland where, through the crater of a volcano, they can descend to the centre of the earth!
Inspired by Jules Verne’s “Journey to the Center of the Earth” (1872), three adults start playing with objects on a table (and when adults start playing, anything can happen…). They transform into characters, scenes and interventions, like someone who dives into the story of a book and dreams, to the point where you can’t tell the manipulated from the manipulator. A fun show for all ages.
