Madraça

Madraça is born in the heart of Alentejo. Exploring Alentejo Universe and Traditional Portuguese Music, it aims to promote and recreate the musical heritage of Alentejo region through original arrangements with a fusion of rhythms and sonorities from World Music and exploratory Electronic Music. After an intensive collection and survey of sounds and instruments typical of the region, with the aim of preserving raw material for collective creation and encouraging creative work through the use of Sample Packs and original virtual instruments. The project results in the creation of a unique live performance that fuses the universe of traditional Transtagana music with the sounds and idylls of contemporary reality.

The project includes the collaboration of seven portuguese musicians, as well as a Cante Alentejano choral group and a VJ.
