Capital Canibal is an anachronistic stage machine in a permanent state of short-circuit. Despite the efforts of its operators—who are themselves its food and fuel—the product always ends up being defective, surplus, useless and yet irresistible. Situated somewhere between a lecture, a puppet and automaton show, and a variety show, Capital Canibal is a performance for the strongest stomachs and the most refined palates, yet at the same time highly inclusive, as even the worst parts can be put to good use.
Sonoscopia is an association dedicated to the creation, production and promotion of artistic and educational projects, focusing on experimental music, sound research and their cross-disciplinary intersections. Since its foundation in 2011, it has produced over 700 events, artistic creations, educational activities and publications across the globe.
Teatro de Ferro was founded in 1999. In its practice, puppets and objects have taken on a fundamental role. The relationship between the performer’s body and the manipulated object, and the involvement of each audience member in the construction of this relationship, are themes that run through TdF’s artistic practice.
