No Conto da Raposa (In the Fox’s Tale) is an anthology of short stories inspired by Portuguese oral tradition, featuring the Fox, the most cunning of all animals. The show alternates between storytelling and traditional-style puppet theatre. It celebrates the ancient wisdom of popular culture through entertaining, rhythmic and contemporary stories.
Historioscopio – Teatro de Marionetas was founded in 2013 in Porto. Currently based in Valongo, it is a project aimed primarily at children and families. Drawing on the expressive and dramatic potential of puppet theatre, the company’s repertoire of shows and creative workshops focuses on stimulating the imagination and freedom of thought, whilst fostering a close relationship with the audience.
