“Blessed and most happy times, in which the audacious knight Don Quixote of La Mancha came into the world with his most honorable determination to restore to the world the almost forgotten order of knight-errant! We now savor, in this age so lacking in joyful pastimes, the sweetness of reading his true story, and the tales that unfold within it as episodes; these, in large part, are no less pleasant, artificial, and true than the story itself.”
But who writes history? The victors, or the losers? Are they dreamers, or the disappointed? These questions arise today, as much or more than ever. The boundaries between reality and fantasy are blurred every day, and the narrative can be controlled by perverse agents. The tragicomedy of Don Quixote serves as a backdrop for reflection on the importance of being critical of everything we read, hear, and even see!
Limite Zero is a cultural organisation dedicated to bringing initiatives to fruition across a range of artistic fields. Our activities extend to the production of theatre and animated performances, video production, and training. Thus, whilst not limiting our activities to the production and promotion of cultural events, we have also created a space for experimentation and the interplay of various artistic languages, namely: dramatic expression, animated forms and video. Recognising the importance today of educational approaches that advocate education through the arts, Limite Zero seeks to create workshops for children and adults that combine experimentation and discovery with the joy of creative learning. We therefore offer a range of workshops in the fields of dramatic expression, creative writing, the creation of animated forms and the use of multimedia. We see our space as a place where artistic languages intersect, and where experimentation and learning take place. Our aim is to engage with the community through art.
