Mixing stand-up comedy, TED talk, concert and VJing, SCREENAGERS revisits some of the ways in which the Internet has impacted our lives and affected our collective imagination.
The performer uses her online activities – clicks, messaging, status updates and browser history – as material for creating songs, turning her online life into an epic story, written unconsciously and effortlessly while surfing the Web.
Emphasising the performative nature of our online lives, spectators can interact directly with the show via their smartphones: they can collectively write the lyrics of a song, play a video game, send photos or appear on stage as memes and avatars.
